Hagstrom Hofferber Noring McGee - The room
42 minutes
Recorded June 18, 1996 at F.D.R. Studio, Des Moines, Iowa, during Hal McGee's first visit to Des Moines, including Emil Hagstrom of Cock E.S.P. fame.
Mixed June 20th and 25th 1996 by Brian Noring.
Emil Hagstrom: guitar, keyboards, Moog, FX
Eric Hofferber: voice, metal, feedback, trumpet, guitar
Hal McGee: Moog, keyboards, FX
Brian Noring: drum pads, Moog, keyboard, FX
Brian Noring wrote this about the tape:
Hal McGee only came to visit me for two days in June 1996 and in that time we recorded the entire Preoccupations tape, and this tape with Emil Hagstrom (Cock E.S.P.) and Eric Hofferber (N.W.A.S.) who drove up from Minneapolis for the jam. The track "Good Afternoon" was so loud I was afraid my speakers were going to melt, the rest though is in a more free improv style which suited us much better I think.
