Margolis/McGee - Peat
54 minutes
List of Cassettes, Ordering info, and Trades
One of my favorite tape releases in my catalog, and a favorite of listeners over the years. Intense electroacoustic dark ambient urban soundscapes.
Recorded August 11-12, 1990 at Sound Of Pig Studio in Brooklyn, New York.
Al Margolis (If, Bwana):
Cello, Trumpet, French Horn, Moog Rogue, Yamaha DX9, percussion, Vako Orchestron, Moog Sonic Six, FX, engineering, mix.
Hal McGee (Dog As Master):
Vako Orchestron, Cello, Moog Sonic Six, FX.
The Orchestron is a rare electronic instrument that is similar to a mellotron except that it uses 12-inch vinyl records instead of magnetic tape.
Originally released on my Electronic Cottage label, in 1990. Reissued on my HalTapes label in 1995 on cassette, and later on CD-R.
