MOMA054 - Small Hours - The Parade's Gone By

Recorded by James Killick
September-October 2013
in Daventry, Northants, UK
with a Dictaphone - Voice Processor', model no. 3242 microcassette recorder
James Killick's
Recording Gear and Production Notes:
WNG (Weird Noise Generator), DOD Meat Box, DOD Death Metal and a Sovtek Big Muff Clone. I then layered the tracks together using Logic on my Mac.
I did not record directly to the tape. I finished the tracks first, then put them on my iPod. I connected this to the dictaphone (through the headphone socket) and played the tracks back while recording them on the tape you (Hal McGee) provided.
-----------
Noise Walls fans can rejoice because the sounds you love can be found on this lo-fi wonder - minimal electronics, sizzling static, almost tranquil in its nearly immovable center of gravity which shifts gradually over the course of 30 minutes. Time passes without us noticing as oxide fragments crumble and tumble into a limitless void.
