MOMA051 - Moulttrigger - Wun/Tew
Moulttrigger
Wun/Tew
Recorded in Des Moines, Iowa, USA
October 2013
Get ready for what is probably the ultimate bedroom lo-tech lo-fi jazz noise funk rap spazz lounge-y rock fiesta. Using a 1990s Yamaha consumer keyboard, his cell phone as a multitrack recorder, loops, and an I AM T-Pain microphone, Moulttrigger takes us to places we never thought we'd go, even after numerous beers (except perhaps the bathroom), and furtively whispering secrets to our cassette karaoke machine.
Hey Hal!
Here is my microcassette for MOMA. First off, this is all sanitary. The TP used is from a new roll fresh out of the package and the roll is actually a paper towel roll cut to size. I used a potato stamp to make the Moulttrigger logo and superglued TP on the j-card. The album is called "Wun/Tew". Hope you dig it!!
Dave Wren's artist statement:
I used a Panasonic RN-180 microcassette recorder. Most the album was recorded with Yamaha PSS-270 and my I Am T-Pain microphone. I also used the voice recorder on my phone to do multitrack recording. There are a couple tracks where I looped unused tracks I had on the computer and held the recorder up to the speaker. Anything else was just me dicking about finding found sounds.
