MOMA030 - Chateau d'if
Recorded in Houston, Texas, USA
September 2013
Artist notes:
Side A was created with my Animoog ap on my iPhone 5 exclusively.
Side a was recorded line in into the mic line input; side b utilized the built in microphone.
This recording starts you off on Part 1 very reminiscent of Logan's Run meets Brian Eno. The heartbeat driven beat and the haunting drone guides the higher futuristic sounds to a intriguing rhythmic ambiance. Part 2 opens with a blast from the past. It then continues with an explosion of wondrous sounds and samples. I thoroughly enjoyed the copious amounts of sounds flowing through this entire recording. I hope to hear more from Chateau D'if.

Crash Symbols recently recommended MOMA030 on Bandcamp! - January 3, 2013:
“Recorded direct to microcassette for Hal McGee's Museum of Microcassette Art (MOMA) - tense, febrile, and surprisingly fleshed out, Chateau d'if stands out among 100+ amazing contributions.”
Side A has a nice warmth and low end to it. Cool piece of work. Certainly an epic apocalyptic tale
