Herring, Mark McGee, Hal McGee, and Bulky Acronym on banjo, washboard, kazoo, synthesizers (Bleep Labs Nebulophone and Monotron & Monotron Delay), voices, contact microphones, field recordings, melodica, debit card reader, vuvuzela, world's most expensive cymbal, trash can lid, pots & pans, riq, African double bell, household implements, soccer goals and spectator benches, utility poles, park signs, logs, rocks, boulders, trees, stumps, waste receptacles, abandoned toilet and other discarded items, twigs, drainage grates, etc. Recorded Saturday, October 13, 2012 on microcassette by Hal McGee. Tracks 1, 2 and 4 recorded at Hal & Mark McGee's apartment Gainesville, Florida.Track #3 - "Nature Jamz" - During the day-long recording session at Hal and Mark McGee's apartment in Gainesville, the Canned Ham quartet sallied forth into the nearby Forest Park to "play Nature". Mark McGee, Bulky Acronym, and Hal McGee each carried a pair of drum sticks and A.J. Herring, his banjo. Bulky Acronym and the McGee Brothers applied their beating implements to soccer goals and spectator benches, utility poles, park signs, logs, rocks, boulders, trees, stumps, waste receptacles, abandoned toilet and other discarded items, twigs, drainage grates, etc. - and all the while Herring improvised phrases, riffs, and impressionistic flourishes on his banjo (at one point he even played his banjo with a tree stump). Track #5 - Canned Ham recorded in performance at Apartment Music 17, Saturday, December 22, 2012, at Hal and Mark McGee's apartment in Gainesville, Florida. Mark McGee (cymbal, cajon, washboard), Danny McGuire (lap steel), Hal McGee (kazoo, harmonicas, vuvuzela), and A.J. Herring (banjo, musical saw).
