Debbie Jaffe and Hal McGee of Cause And Effect Summer 1986 Indianapolis, Indiana
In the Summer of 1986 Monochrome Bleu of Linz, Austria toured the United States. They visited Debbie Jaffe and Hal McGee at their home at 5301 Guilford Avenue in Indianapolis, Indiana. On April 25, 2014 Wolfgang Dorninger sent to Hal McGee a 38-minute video film that was recorded by Leo Schatzl during Monochrome Bleu's visit to Cause And Effect Headquarters. The first video presented below is an 18-minute interview with Jaffe & McGee conducted by Dorninger for the TAPE REPORT fanzine. The second video presented below is the first 20 minutes of the 38-minute film, containing scenes inside and outside Jaffe & McGee's house, including Monochrome Bleu rehearsing, views of and discussions about Hal and Debbie's cassette collection, a soccer game in the street, weight-lifting, Jaffe & McGee's musical gear, their dog Kaffee Binx, a tarot card reading and front porch cookout, and much more. Monochrome Bleu at that time was Thomas Resch (voc, sax), Walter Horn (bass), Roland Punzenberger (drums), Leo Schatzl (video) and Wolfgang Dorninger (synths, sampler).
